Today, we celebrate the extraordinary life of Coach Steve Jensen, a man whose impact on countless lives is immeasurable. For an incredible 39 years, he poured his heart and soul into Heartland Hockey Camp, touching the lives of over 1,000 kids every summer.
Coach Jensen was more than just a coach; he was a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passion for the game of hockey was only surpassed by his genuine desire to encourage the campers, parents, and staff to be and do their best. He believed in each and every one of them, instilling in them not just the skills to excel on the ice but also the values of hard work, perseverance, and resilience.
Today, as we look back on cherished memories of Coach Steve, we are reminded of the incredible legacy he leaves behind. The love and respect from his former campers, staff, teammates, and the entire hockey community are a testament to the profound influence he had on all of us.
